Patients' Rights Advocacy Community Adult Education

Empowering people with information is the key objective of Patients' Rights Advocacy Waikato Incorporated. The society provides community education and Patients' Advocacy services on a voluntary bases on a wide range of medical and health related issues. This enables people to be better prepared when dealing with the health system. We encourage patients to know and exercise their rights in the health area, promoting compliance with laws and code of practice within the health professionals.

Our community education programmes cover many health and medical issues and inform people of changes to health legislation and medical law. Our emphasis is in on individual rights including the rights to refuse medical treatment.

We are completely independent of any of the government funded health, education and advocacy providers. For further information please contact:
