H O U S E OF C O M M O N S
LONDON SW1A 0AAFROM THE OFFICE OF
JOHN GROGAN MP6 November 2002
Ray and Diane Nimmo
Dear Ray and Diane
I am writing to invite you to attend a parliamentary reception I am hosting on behalf of the 'Beat the Benzos' charity on Monday 18 November 2002 from 4-5pm in the Terrace Marquee, House of Commons. The reception will mark the tabling of the enclosed Early Day Motion concerning Benzodiazepines.
It has been estimated that some 1.2 million people throughout the country are affected by addiction to Benzodiazepines and campaigners have long been pursuing compensation claims, against both the drug companies and the health authorities. The breakthrough legal victory secured on your behalf in June 2002 has given hope to many, many Benzodiazepine victims.
I hope very much that you will be able to attend the reception and would be grateful if you could contact my office on 020 7219 4403 should you be able to attend. In the meantime you might like to contact your own Member of Parliament and ask if they would consider signing the attached Early Day Motion and faxing it to my office on 020 7219 2676.
Yours sincerely
John Grogan MP
Member of Parliament for Selby Constituency
